Lower Elwha Dental Clinic COVID-19 Outbreak Response

As of 1:00 PM 3/18/20, the Lower Elwha Dental Clinic will limit all services to essential, emergency services only. We will maintain this policy in response to the COVID-19 outbreak until 3/31/20. Prior to 3/31 we will re-evaluate the situation and extend the duration of emergency only care if needed. This decision comes at the advisement of the American Dental Association and the Washington State Dental Association who released statements on 3/16 and 3/17 recommending postponing all elective, non-essential dental procedures. As the Tribal Chairwoman of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, I am enacting an Emergency Declaration in accordance with the inherent sovereign authority of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. By that authority, I am implementing the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (March 2013) and the assignment of responsibilities as outlined in the Emergency Management Plan.
