Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe Vocational Rehabilitation Program
The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe’s Vocational Rehabilitation Program supports American Indians and Alaska Natives who face barriers to employment. Our goal is to provide the tools, guidance, and support needed to help individuals prepare for, find, and keep meaningful work.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a state or federally recognized Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village
- Have a documented physical or mental disability that makes it difficult to work
- Live within our service area: from the Hoko River and Sappho in the west, the Straits of Juan de Fuca to the north, and McDonald Creek to the east.
- Need vocational rehabilitation services to prepare for, obtain, or keep employment

- Assessments to determine eligibility, skills, and service needs
- Career guidance and counseling
- Communication assistance
- Job placement and retention support
- Traditional healing services
- Community resource counseling
- Transportation support
- Educational and training guidance
- Work related support services (such as work clothing, short-term training, or other individualized needs)
- Assistive technology
- Youth transition services
- Information and referrals
- Job coaching
- Individualized service planning and goal setting
