Our mission is to be committed to the health and wellness of the Lower Elwha community and to provide the highest quality, comprehensive and culturally competent care to our patients. We strive to treat all patients with respect and compassion, giving quality care in a clinic environment.
In addition to the services that we provide, we work closely with other dentists in the region and community to provide dental and surgical specialty referrals for appropriate conditions.
Native American patients need to present tribal affiliation documentation and are required to check their eligibility for Medicaid and other health insurance programs. A copy of your primary insurance coverage, Social Security card copy and current driver’s license are also required at the time of registration prior to your first appointment.
Eligibility
Our clinic serves patients of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe and those who are eligible for CHS and Direct care. Enrolled members of Native American/Alaskan Indian tribes are all welcome. We also see all children on Provider One (DSHS) under the age of 19.
Dental Services
Services include diagnosis, treatment and referral when appropriate, based on the policy and procedures of Contract Health Services. It may include diagnosis, evaluation of complicated medical histories, common and complicated restorations, root canals, dentures, partials, crowns, extractions, bridges and implants. All available upper level services are provided to Lower Elwha Tribal members. These services are available to other tribal members as chair time allows.
Hours of Operation
Our hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 5pm. Registered patients of the dental clinic with an acute dental emergency may walk-in at 7:45a.m. each day where they will be triaged in the order they checked in. After hours and weekends, patients are encourage to present to the emergency room with severe pain and/or swelling.
Accepted Insurances
We accept Medicaid/DSHS CNP, Medicare, Regence, Premera, Blue Cross, KPS, Champus, and VA health insurance plans. We are not contracted with DSHS GA-U or GA-X Molina Healthy Options, CHP programs. We can bill most insurance. Please call your private insurance for preferred provider information. Molina Basic Health Plan coverage is now limited to Native American enrollees only.
Scheduling Appointments
We schedule appointments on a first come, first serve basis. We also have access for same day appointments for urgent care. Most of our appointments are scheduled for one hour unless the procedure is complicated.
We will always do our best to work elders, tribal members and children into our schedule as time allows.
