Human Resource (HR) management which involves recruiting people for positions with the Tribe. A tribal and Indian preference policy is in place. All vacant positions will be announced in the Tribal newsletter or special mailings, and shall be posted on the bulletin board of the Tribal office for a period of 10 days. The Tribe sets professional qualifications standards for each position and hires the most qualified applicant. Retention of employees is an important management, as well as financial consideration in HR relations.  To provide quality services, and support in employment, training, employee relations, benefits, compensation and safety beyond the expectations of all employees enabling them to better serve our external customers.

Chief Financial Officer/Certified Public Accountant
Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (C.F.O) is primarily responsible for overall financial operations of the tribal organization, such as but not limited to; financial management and planning, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This position is expected to direct the tribe’s financial goals, objectives and budgets.

Comptroller (Grant & Contract Management)
Overview: The Comptroller is responsible for monitoring all tribal contracts and grants to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and grant/contract conditions.


Human Resource Manager
OVERVIEW:  This position is under the supervision of the Human Resource Director.  Responsible for all personnel matters and provide functional guidance for administrative support needs of the day to day function of Human Resource, WWIETP, and TERO operations for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.

Social Services Director
OVERVIEW:  The Social Services Director will be responsible for the general operations of the social services programs and services.   The Social Services Director is the primary consultant for all departments on strategic planning, implementing organizational change, training and collaborative problem solving.  The Social Services Director may also represent the Tribe and participate with other Tribal directors, the Tribe’s Chief Executive Director and the Tribe’s Business Committee .

Summer Youth Coordinator 2008 (Temporary)
OVERVIEW:  Coordinate the summer youth program for the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.  Ensure all summer youth; including low income youth have experiences that foster understanding of employer expectations.  Provide an enriching, fulfilling, and rewarding environment for youth and open forum to achieve excellence in communication, work processes and to promote unity within the Tribe.

Grounds Keeper- LOWER ELWHA HOUSING AUTHORITY
OVERVIEW:  Maintains all Lower Elwha Housing Authority maintenance grounds in all rental housing and Housing building.
