The Education Building is located directly behind the Tribal Center 
in a white portable. It also houses the Culture and Language Department, 
as well as the Computer Lab. Please contact Tracey Hosselkus for 
education and the computer lab information.

High School Seniors need to complete the  LEKT Higher Education Scholarship Packet and FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) as soon as their parents complete their 2006 IRS Taxes. Students living with a guardian or relative need to contact Tracey at 452-8471 Ext. 121 for process steps to receive Financial Aid from FAFSA and LEKT.

Due date for Fall 2007 is APRIL 15th
Applicants with applications received after that date will only be eligible to receive funding for Books and Tuition. APPLY EARLY EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHERE YOU WANT TO ATTEND COLLEGE YOU MAY CHANGE YOUR MIND.

HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP 
GRANT
The Lower Elwha Higher Education Grant
is available to any Lower Elwha Klallam
Tribal member attending any college, 
university, or technical training program.  
The Higher Education Grant Award varies 
according to each student’s financial need, 
their past history with the Education Grant 
Program and the available program funding. 
Undergraduates are eligible.  At this time 
post- BA funding is not available, but it is 
good to apply so the program staff will know 
your needs for future funding opportunities.  
Partial scholarships may be awarded to 
students attending college on a part-time 
basis and will be prorated accordingly.
